  • Services
    • Does Kids & Company provide food?

Absolutely! Kidco Kitchen provides a variety of nutritional and culturally diverse foods that meet or exceed US Food Guide recommendations. Each day consists of a morning snack/breakfast, a hot lunch, and an afternoon snack. Each lunch contains a protein, a carbohydrate, vegetables and fruit servings. Every week Kidco Kitchens serve at least 1 fish and vegetarian meal, in addition to chicken and beef. The food is made from scratch with no additives, preservatives, artificial flavors or colors. And, for the ride home and the inevitable “I’m hungry!”, Kidco Kitchens recently implemented a Grab N’ Go program where a nutritious snack is available to children as they leave for the day.

    • Does Kids & Company charge late fees? How much are they?

No. Kids & Company never charges late fees. (Compare this to other child cares and preschools, which often charge $1.00 per minute when parents run late).

  • Back-Up Child Care
    • What is emergency back-up child care?

Emergency back-up child care is last minute care in our child care centers. Children do not need to regularly attend one of our centers to participate in back-up care. This is an exclusive service that only corporate-linked families can access whenever their primary child care arrangements are unavailable or disrupted. For example, a regular child care provider or nanny may be ill or on vacation, or a parent may need assistance for a school-aged child during school closures (Spring break, summer vacations, PA/PD day or teachers strike). We accept children from newborn – 12 years of age.

    • Does Kids & Company only offer back-up services, or can I register for full or part-time care?

Yes, of course. Kids & Company offers high-quality full-time care, flexible part-time care and the emergency back-up care at all of our centers across Canada and in the United States.

    • How can I access the back-up service?

Emergency back-up is only available to employees of our corporate partners. You must complete an online registration at www.kidsandcompany.com, and sign up under Get Started. (more details are on the “On-line Registration form” and/or “Benefits and Process for Back-up”). As soon as you know you require care, please call your preferred center and identify yourself and your child. Provide details on days required, name and age of your child to reserve your spot.

    • How far in advance must I book for back-up care?

Kids & Company appreciates as much advance notice as possible and you may book your days up to a year in advance.  However, if you have a same day emergency, call your first choice Kids & Co location. If that center is not able to accommodate you, they will assist with finding another location that can accommodate the booking.

    • Can I use the back-up service for only 2 or 3 hours while attending a meeting or appointment?

Yes. However, those hours are counted as a day or a corporate pass, depending on your benefit.

  • Full Time and Part Time Child Care
    • How far in advance must I book for full-time or part-time care?

We encourage parents to give us as much advance notice as possible, however, member-linked families are guaranteed a space at one of the Kids & Company centers within a 6 month time frame from their registration date.

    • What is the full/part-time fee for my child to attend?

Our fees are based on the age of the child, number of days attending and the Kids & Company location chosen. Fees can be found at www.kidsandcompany.com once you Sign-In, and on the Parent Portal (once the registration process has been completed). You may also call your preferred location and speak with the director to get exact fees based on your child’s age and your care needs.

    • Can I just use 2 or 3 days a week?

Yes! Kids & Company prides itself on its flexibility and therefore days can range from 1 day a week to 5 days a week for part-time/full-time care. We even accommodate rotating schedules (e.g., 2 days one week and 3 days the following).
