The “Kidco Standard” – COVID-19 Health & Safety Procedures
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kids & Company has put together health and safety protocols based on guidelines from Public Health. Kids & Company has chosen to adopt stringent protocols in all regions where centers are operated. This has been done to protect our families, employees, and children.
The following outlines our “Kidco Standard” — protocols that are practiced across all Kids & Company centers. These baseline protocols are built on with specific regional guidance.
Kids & Company Employee Vaccination Policy
Kids & Company has implemented a Vaccine Policy requiring all employees to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. We have made this choice in order to protect our families and staff, and most importantly, the children in our care who are not eligible for the vaccine.
If a staff member is unvaccinated for any reason, including medical or religious exemption, they are required to undergo Covid-19 testing twice weekly, continue to wear PPE and submit daily health checks, and take other appropriate precautions as required.
COVID-19 Travel Restrictions
We ask that you familiarize yourself with the current travel advisories as they are updated and ever-changing in response to the current positivity rates.
- Our organization aligns with the City of Chicago/Cook County travel recommendations, as always. To view up-to-date details of the travel recommendations: please visit Travel Advisory Illinois.
- Should your family travel at this time, upon returning, unvaccinated students will need to test 3-5 days after returning and quarantine for 7 full days; or without testing, quarantine symptom-free for 10 days.
- We align our standards based on the MA Covid-19 Travel recommendations. Should your family travel at this time, upon returning, please follow the guidelines listed within the link listed above and pay attention to the AFTER TRAVEL guidelines.
We kindly remind you that the majority of students within our centers are not yet eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccinations because they are under five years old. Their safety is paramount to us at all times, and we truly appreciate your participation and understanding in protecting them.
An Update on Our Operations Due to COVID-19
Kids & Company Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Policy: Due to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases and in order to keep our staff and families safe, it is now Kids & Company’s policy that all staff must wear a non-medical (cloth) or a disposable medical/surgical mask or face covering while inside the child care center.
